never thought I’d be offended by someone telling me I’m ” too skinny” and to “eat something”
but I am
I tried to respond in the post itself but tumblr wouldn’t let me lol.
But it’s okay, I weigh 103 lbs and my family is always telling me I don’t eat enough, but I do. I’m trying to gain weight as it is and it’s hard. As long as you’re healthy, don’t listen to them! Just worry about your health and relationship with Jesus.
this is beautiful.
AnonymousWhat are your thoughts on same sex marriage?
Do you mean like in general or legally?
In general, I think it’s a sin. Sorry if that makes you mad, but that’s what the bible says. (Why should I believe the bible? Watch this from 8:50 to 12:10 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ZNXMJGYNG8) I’ve also sinned though, it’s just not necessarily as public as homosexuality. Even knowing all my sin, Jesus died for me and rose again to save me from being separated from God. He did that for liars, gluttons, porn addicts, and homosexuals. I realize that people believe homosexuality shouldn’t be compared to those other sins, but all sin is sin. The enemy wants us to think that we’re stuck in it too, so people who struggle with homosexuality say they can’t help it because they’re born with it.
I’m a psych major, so to an extent I believe that people can be born with irregularities in sexual attraction, but being actually psychologically born that way is a lot rarer than the actual public believes. There’s this myth out there that 10% of the population is born gay, and this fallacy is due to a study by a famous psychologist called Kinsey in the 70s. He was weird and studied only weird sexual people, so of course he comes up with this result that 10% of the population is born gay. In reality, it’s somewhere around 1% of the world population that people are actually psychologically born gay. Many psychologists have more accurately gathered data now, but people still believe this myth because of this psychological phenomena called the misinformation effect. Look it up. Anyways, environment plays a huge factor in whether or not someone chooses to be sexually active with the same sex. So the argument that the person can’t help it because they were born that way is insufficient in my eyes.
Legally, my religion says it’s a sin to practice homosexuality, but that doesn’t necessarily mean the government should control that. I mean the government allows us to get drunk and have sex outside of marriage, and the bible says those things are sinful.
But if the government made same sex marriage okay, I don’t know if I’d be okay with that. I still haven’t really decided. God made man and woman so beautifully, and he designed a man for the woman and the woman for the man.
I don’t think not instating same sex marriage is withholding some kind of right to the homosexual man or woman. He has a right to marriage of the opposite sex. And anyways, who decided we were “born” with rights anyway? John Locke? Idk. We throw around these phrases, and I don’t think we truly contemplate the meaning of them.
I’m sorry I couldn’t answer your question fully.
OKAY I’LL PROBABLY LOSE FOLLOWERS FOR THIS BUT
I’M SICK OF PEOPLE HAVING KIDS OUT OF WEDLOCK, THEN STILL NOT MARRYING BECAUSE “MARRIAGE IS JUST A PIECE OF PAPER”
WAY TO DEGRADE THE SANCTITY OF MARRIAGE, ASSHOLE
(this doesn’t apply to accidental pregnancies / leaving the father or mother because they are toxic for you and your child)
